According to the lawyer Fariz Namazly, Elchin and Malik Huseynov were arrested on the evening of 6 October. "According to their relatives, the brothers were first taken to the 29th police department of the Yasamal district, and then – to the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime at the Ministry of Internal Affairs," Namazly said. A day earlier, on 5 October, the police detained another brother, Huseyn Huseynov.
According to Namazly, there is no information about the reasons for the detention of the brothers. The attempts to get the comments from the Ministry of Interior have not yet succeeded.
During the trial on the "Nardaran case" Abbas Huseynov emotionally opposed the judges, prosecutors and police witnesses. He was twice removed from the hall. Other defendants showed solidarity with A. Huseynov and refused to testify. -16D-
