The pollution level on the Absheron beaches Novkhani, Pirshagi, Nardaran, Bilgah, Zagulba, Buzovna, Mardakan, Shuvalan and Hovsan is within normal limits. At the same time, on the beaches of Sumgait, Shykhovo and Sahil there is microbiological contamination.
According to Office of Integrated Monitoring Khazar of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Caspian Sea, the beaches are suitable for swimming, except Sumgait, Shykhovo and Sahil.
Note that for many years the level of water pollution on the Absheron beaches did not fit the norm. What happened this year is not clear. -03D04-

The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the preliminary results of the snap parliamentary elections held on September 1 for the Milli Majlis. According to the results, the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) secured more than half of the parliamentary seats (68). It is expected that 13 seats will be distributed among 10 parties in total. The Citizen Solidarity Party will be represented by three seats, while the Justice, Law, and Democracy Party will have two seats. Eight other parties—the Republican Alternative Party, National Independence Party, Democratic Reforms Party, Motherland Party, Great Creation Party, Great Azerbaijan Party, National Front Party, and Azerbaijan Democratic Enlightenment Party—are close to securing one seat each.

Baku and the Apsheron Peninsula have seen an increase in the volume of dust in the air. According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, the volume of dust exceeds the norm by 2.5-3 times.

The gathering, held on August 30, coincided with the International Day of Remembrance of the Missing and underscored the ongoing challenges facing both Azerbaijani and Armenian societies in the wake of the Karabakh conflicts.
