Anar Mammadov is transferred to jail N13
Quarantine period of human rights activist Anar Mammadov, who was transferred to jail N13, completed his relatives told. In spite of certain health problems, Mammadov maintains good spirits. He did not complain about the conditions of detention, however, pointed out that the jail is on ecologically bad area, and there are numerous quarries. According to the Code of the execution of punishment, Mammadov was supposed to be placed to jail of residence - that is in one of jails in Baku.
* The head of the Election Monitoring Center, Anar Mammadov, was arrested on 17 December 2013; the Baku Serious Crimes Court sentenced him to five and a half years in prison for illegal business, malpractice and tax evasion.
Organization Amnesty International Anar Mammadov declared a prisoner of conscience. He was awarded the Prize by Vaclav Gavel.-16D-
