Eighty Villages of Lerik Left without Electricity
Baku / 31.10.17 / Turan: The stormy south-west wind in the southern region of the country caused significant damage to settlements and economic buildings on October 30. They were left without electricity.
The wind knocked down trees and power lines, demolished the roofs of many buildings and damaged orchards.
The greatest damage was done in the Lankaran and Astara districts.
Serious injuries in the fall of trees were received by residents of local villages Shafa Aliyeva and Etibar Bagirov, who were placed in the intensive care unit of the Lankaran district hospital.
Significant damage was also inflicted on the Lerik region electric power plant. Almost in 80 villages of Lerik there is no light, the Ministry of Emergencies reports.

In a bid to modernize and regulate the taxi industry in Baku, mobile patrols of the state traffic police have launched a series of raids aimed at ensuring that taxi drivers comply with newly established requirements.
