A mountain forest fire began in the Lerik region near the village of Piran, which is 35 km. from the district center, according to the ministry of Emergency Situations. A helicopter was used to extinguish the fire, which became difficult because of the entrance of fire-engine vehicles to the place. Therefore, tractors and other heavy equipment, as well as employees of district structures and locals are used.
According to Turan local sources, the fire place is in a remote mountainous area on the right side of the Lankaran-Lerik road.
There is not a threats to populated settlements, but the expansion of the zone of fire is not excluded. Nothing is reported about the cause of the fire.-16D-

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
