Ganja cancels job fair because of the influx of unemployed
Job fair in the city of Ganja on February 5 was disrupted due to the large number of people wishing to find a job. The fFair was held in the building of the youth organization of the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan". However, due to the large influx the entry was restricted, causing pandemonium and crowding. People were outraged that the police took the entrance under its control.
Judging by the videos on social networks, the police began to drive away the audience from the building, and the head of the Ganja Executive Power Elmar Valiyev announced that the fair was postponed for the next week.
The fair was organized by the Ministry of Labor, at which 47 state and 13 private institutions offered 750 vacancies. Ganja Employment Center registered 3569 unemployed.
Ganja is Azerbaijan's second city in terms of population, located on the west of the country, 400 km to the west of the capital. According to unofficial sources about 400,000 people live in Ganja. -16D-
