In Azerbaijan every third able to work is unemployed, an expert
Baku / 09.12.17 / Turan: In Azerbaijan every third of the able-bodied population is unemployed, Doctor of Economic Sciences Gubad Ibadoglu writes about this on his Facebook page. He argues with the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Salim Muslimov, who says that only 32% of the able-bodied population has a specialty. In his view, one of the reasons for unemployment is the lack of compliance of vocational education with the labor market requirement.
At the same time, Ibadoglu cites the words of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev that the level of literacy of the population in the country is 100%.
"It turns out that we are literate, but do not have specialties and therefore cannot find a job? Actually it is not so. The great majority of the unemployed are young people with a specialty and higher education.
According to the State Statistics Committee, at the beginning of 2017, out of 252,800 officially recognized unemployed, 35, 4 thousand had higher education, 31,8 thousand - secondary education and 18,1 thousand - vocational special education.
Apparently, up to 35: are unemployed people with different level of specialties.
For November 1, the working-age population is 5, 072 million people, and those who have a permanent job - 3.544 million people.
In this case, the number of unemployed is not 252.8 thousand, but 1,528,000, which is 30% of the able-bodied population. That is, in Azerbaijan every third is unemployed, Ibadoglu thinks. -06D-
