In connection with the festivities traffic in the center of Baku will be limited
In connection with the state level celebration of Novruz holiday, on March 19 from 07:00 will be completely restricted traffic on a number of avenues and streets of Baku. This was announced by Head of Public Relations Department of State Traffic Police of Baku, Vagif Asadov.
Before the end of the festivities traffic will be restricted and suspended in all the streets and avenues of Baku, which intersect with the Prospect of Neftanikov.
Festive events will start on the square in front of "Gosha Gala Gapysy" and the Constitutional Court, then continue in Icheri Sheher (Old Town), on the Avenue of Petroleum, the Seaside National Park.
The list of streets where traffic will be restricted route towards the center of 14 kilometers of the Baku-Salyan, from the intersection of the street Mikail Mushfig with Metbuat Avenue, crossing the street Teymur Elchin street Mehdi Huseyn streets Yusif Safarov, street May 28, Yusif Safarov street with Street Afiyaddina Jalilov, 28 May Street with prospectus Bulbul, Istiglaliyyat with Niyazi street, street Istiglaliyyat with Sheikh Shamil, street Istiglaliyyat with the prospect of Azerbaijan, the streets of Sheikh Shamil with street Lermontov.
The representatives of the traffic police urged residents of the capital to enjoy the day by public transport.
Drivers of vehicles arriving in the capital of the region can move from the 14-kilometer route of the Baku-Salyan on the third ring road. –16В--

Meetings of the Amnesty Issues Commission under the President of Azerbaijan are set to resume, with expectations that a new presidential amnesty decree will be issued. The last such decree was signed on May 25 of the previous year, ahead of Independence Day (May 28). That decree covered 154 individuals, of whom 63 were released from imprisonment, while the sentences of 52 others were reduced by half. The remaining individuals were mostly freed from electronic monitoring or had their sentences commuted in other ways.
