The role of the President in the ongoing reforms in the country, the term of deposit insurance, and the abduction of the bas-relief of Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh are the leading themes of today's media.
The Azerbaijan newspaper writes about the role of President Ilham Aliyev in the implementation of reforms in the country, calling him a reforming President, as evidenced by the decrees signed by him on January 14.
Thus, several government agencies were liquidated, and a number of organizations were transferred to self-financing. These reforms serve to improve the management system.
The World Bank"s Doing Business-2019 report states that Ilham Aliyev was named President-reformer.
The newspaper Yeni Musavat writes that on March 4 the three-year term of full deposit insurance ends. Those citizens whose deposits are more than 30 thousand may lose a part that exceeds the specified amount if there is no new relevant government decision.
The website Modern.az writes about the stolen bas-relief of one of the founders of the Azerbaijan Deemocratic Republic, Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh. The bas-relief was removed from the house of the great leader in Novkhany on the night of January 14-15. His grandson Rais Rasulzadeh declared that he knew nothing about it. He demanded investigation of this blatant case, especially since Rasulzadeh"s 135th anniversary is approaching.--0--
