Mehriban Aliyeva: more than 400,000 IDPs are provided with work
Baku / 27.06.17 / Turan: "As a result of the occupation policy by Armenia continuing over 20 years, there are over a million refugees and internally displaced persons (IDP) in our country. Solving the problems of these people, providing them with work, education, medical treatment - is always at the center of the government's attention," stated the First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva in her speech at the ceremony of transferring new apartments to IDPs on June 27.
According to her, the government was able to liquidate tent cities for IDPs in a short time, built up to 100 modern residential complexes for internally displaced persons, more than 400,000 IDPs are provided with work.
Aliyeva noted that she pays special attention to social problems, in particular, to the problems of IDP families - the government allocated more than 6 billion manat for these purposes. "The funds allocated to Azerbaijan by the state for internally displaced persons are among the highest world indices. The successes of the Azerbaijani state in this field, our experience is accepted all over the world as a definite model, "she said. -0--
