Natig Adilov: they want to bring my brother in jail to suicide
Baku/03.11.18/Turan: An activist of the Popular Front Party, Murad Adilov, declared pressure on him in the jail N10th, where he is serving a prison sentence. This was stated by his brother Natig Adilov, who is in political emigration, the head of the PFPA press service and the host of the Azerbaijan Hour program and Turan.tv, broadcasting from abroad. According to N. Adilov, his brother called his mother on November 2 and said that he was brought to a state of suicide in the colony.
"Murad said that in the jail there is a senior warder named Hayal Hasanov, who constantly pursues him. In a short time Murad was reprimanded thrice, put on pressure. Murad asked his relatives to make this information public and complain to the Ministry of Justice, the presidential administration and the ombudsman.
Murad also addressed the head of the jail, warning that if warder Hasanov would not stop torturing him, he would commit suicide," writes Natig Adilov on his facebook page.
Murad Adilov was arrested in the summer of 2014 and sentenced to 6 years in prison on charges of drug trafficking on a large scale. Commenting on the complaints of Murad Adilov, in the department of public relations of the Prison Service they said that all the wardens are serving in accordance with the law. "If Murad Adilov feels illegal actions against himself, he can let him appeal to the Prison Service, investigate the complaint," the department said. -06D-
