The Chairman of the NGOs State Support Council Azay Guliyev, reported today in the hotel "Hilton" on the activities of the structure in 2015, stating that the work was based on transparency and accountability. According to Guliyev, 340,000manat were saved and returned to the budget. "Taking into account the economic situation in the country, each structure should be able to save," Guliyev said. According to him, 194 NGOs have violated the terms of contracts, without giving reports to the Council in the required form. With regard to the activities for 2016, the deadlines for projects completed on January 15th. Now is a period of selection, and then will be a period of project evaluation by experts.
"This year for the first time we plan to present the assessments of the experts to the public. Let the public know which project is the winner, and why. However, is still unknown what results it will produce," Guliyev said. The Executive Secretary of the Council Farasat Gurbanov said that 2857 events were carried out in the frameworks of the projects. According to him, 500 thousand manat was spent for the implementation of projects by seven foreign entities. He further warned NGOs that violate the rules of the financial statements and that the Council will appeal to the law enforcement agencies. However, he did not say who is the offender, what is the scope and nature of violations.-05C04-
