Torrential rains of the evening of September 28 and last night covered not only Baku, but virtually all the regions of the country.
In Baku and Absheron precipitation was 18-65 mm, while the average monthly rate is 12-23 mm.
In various districts of Baku streets, yards, basements, and rooms of one-storey houses were flooded.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on the evacuation of 35 people from the flooded houses.
According to the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Environment, the amount of precipitation in the Greater Caucasus was 3-4 mm, central low-lying areas - 3-29 mm, Lankaran-Astara - 11-39 mm, the Lesser Caucasus - 7-18 mm, Gazakh-Ganja - 2-6 mm, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic 1-7 mm.
On Shahdag it snowed; the snow cover was 1 cm. -03D-.
