Baku/21.08.18/Turan: Russian production company Yaroslavich supplied to Azerbaijan five municipal road cars KDM76-15 Yaroslavich, reported local sites. The cars are designed for maintenance of paved roads and do not have seasonal restrictions. They are applicable for operation on urban and suburban routes. According to the technical specification, in winter time, KDM76-15 are used for cleaning roadbeds from freshly fallen snow, removing rolling, sludge, for the distribution of loose anti-ice materials, including salt, and liquid reagents. In summer time - for cleaning and cleaning roads, fences, curbs, road signs and road construction elements, as well as for the transport of asphalt during patching. The contract for the supply of municipal road machines KDM76-15 to Azerbaijan was signed in the spring of 2018 and provides for the delivery of 9 units of this equipment.
This long-awaited and welcome event was preceded by a series of tragic events connected with the cleaning of roads in Baku. From February to August this year, 7 women janitors were killed in various roads of the capital. On February 26, 49-year-old NargizAskerova, who swept the roadway, became the victim of a traffic accident, despite standard security measures. The woman died from the injuries on the scene. By the way, law enforcers noted that the janitor had a reflective vest, but even it did not save her from the hit. Exactly a month later, on March 27, Jamil Salakhov, born in 1965, died on the bridge located on the section of the road leading to the Baku International Airport, as a result of a blow to the door of a moving truck. The next, the seventh victim of auto-arrival was a woman janitor, whose body was found on Sunday, August 12 on the road near the metro station "MemarAjemi."
The statistics of past years show that on average 5-7 road accidents are recorded on average in Baku, the victims of which were employees of local utilities. But no less surprising is the fact that as early as 2013 the Baku Executive Power planned to purchase new garbage collection equipment at the expense of a loan issued by the World Bank. But for some reason the deal did not take place. Either the money went to the organization of another pompous flower festival on May 10, or something else, but the town's municipal services did not wait for the new technology. Attempts of the "T" correspondent to receive explanations about this fact were futile, since representatives of the Baku Executive Power refused to give comments without the permission of the press service of the department. Under the pressure of public opinion, the city authorities decided to provide women janitors with special vests with a phosphoric insert, so that in the dark, drivers from afar could notice them. For example, at the beginning of April, the Executive Power of Surakhani district was presented with a new work-wear prepared for the public service workers responsible for the cleanliness of the streets of the capital for the employees of municipal services. After the solemn part, the new overalls were distributed to the communal services workers. And then what? The cleaners continued to die under the wheels of the machines, because they did their work early in the morning hours, when it is not dark, and they did not need reflective waistcoats. The government, at last, has purchased special communal equipment. But will the situation on the capital roads change after this? Traffic jams, traffic signs, women in uniform, cuddling to the side of the road, so that they are not hit by a car? Wait and see.--0--
