The former captain sues SOCAR
A resident of the village of Bina, Tofik Valiyev, conducts a multi-year legal battle against "Azneft" due to his unfair dismissal in November 2008. In an interview with Turan, he said that since 1984 has worked on a floating rig "Azneft." In November 2008, while on vacation, he was dismissed for "unexcused absence". When Valiyev asked the head of the trade union organization why he was fired from his job with this formulation, he was told that it was done so that he could not enjoy the benefits of oil. At the same time, in the workbook the date of dismissal is completely different - January 1, 2009. From 2009 to 2011 Tofig Veliyev did not complain, because the leadership promised to bring him back to work.
In 2011, Veliyev was able to get a copy of the order of dismissal, and sued the Khazar district demanding the extradition he owed money. During the trial it became clear that on his behalf were signed some papers about getting money. However, at the time noted in the documents he was in the sea.
In the court of the Khazar district all petitions by Veliyev were rejected. Baku Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the first instance. The Supreme Court considered this question three times, and Veliyev’s claim was partially satisfied –he was paid 3745 manat. On March 6 Khatai Court will begin a new court trial. Attempts to get comment on this issue in SOCAR , the successor "Azneft", produced no results. -05B04-
