Two new buildings of unusual shape will be built soon at the coastal part of the capital of Azerbaijan – the projects of a shopping and hotel complex of the design bureau Heerim Architects.
The complex will be called The Crescent, it will consist of several skyscrapers, one of them will be called “Full Moon Bay.” The building is a disk-shaped standing on edge and having 35 floors.
Another building, also designed for a hotel, is called “The Palace Crescent.” There will be 32 floors.
Both buildings will face the Baku Bay.
Behind the hotels will be four high-rise buildings, three of which are intended for the housing sector. In the fourth skyscraper will be a shopping center.
The project proposed by Korean architects, has been approved by the Government of Azerbaijan. Construction of a new shopping and hotel complex is to complete in the second half of 2016.
Judging by the designs on the company's website, one of the buildings will be built in the village of Bailov, and the second - in front of the "White City."
The cost of the projects and the name of financer is not reported. However, the construction of such mega buildings will seriously change the appearance of the Baku Boulevard, which has not changed for over 100 years. -02D-
