In 2014, Customs Seized More than 0.5 Million Dollars
In the past year, Azerbaijan Customs authorities confiscated from citizens crossing the border more than 514 thousand dollars and more than 72 thousand euros.
According to the report of the Customs Committee, the currency was seized in connection with violation of the existing rules.
At the same time, there were seized 127 items of artistic, archaeological and historical values.
Also seized were 38 stuns, two hunting rifles, 8 units of gas weapons, 27 units of air guns, and 772 units of bladed weapons.
The Customs confiscated also 979 television sets, 1,643 units of home appliances, 1,054 mobile phones, 4 kg of black caviar, and 9,470 units of perfume.
Note that, crossing the border, citizens do not know exactly what and how much they can bring and take away from the country. There is no relevant information on the customs offices and the position of the law is interpreted by customs officers as they themselves want. -02D-
