Ipek Yolu Sigorta a year later returned to the reputation of "millionaire"
Insurance company Ipek Yolu Sigorta in January, reinforcing the position, returned the reputation of a "millionaire." If the first month of 2012, it settled for 47.36 thsd manats, on February 1 this year, it collected 6,288,800 manats.
The main progress has been made on the main form - insurance of air transport and civil liability of its owners. Total Hull (mainly aircraft) collected AZN 3,666,960 (58.8% of voluntary). Another 2 million 444.64 thousand manats (38.8% of voluntary insurance) collected CTP of air assets. Together, the two predominant species yielded 97.6% of all voluntary premiums.

On compulsory insurance Ipek Yolu Sigorta in January attracted 2.78 thsd AZN. Basic income (AZN 2.68 thsd) was on account of the new CTP.

The company was founded in 1995 under the name Azal Sigorta, and as Ipek Yolu Sigorta it has operated on the local market since the second half of 2011.
It carries 15 types of insurance and thus specialized in air transport insurance.
The authorized capital of the company at the end of March last year amounted to 12 million 092.5 thousand manats.
Its shareholders are private local airline Silk Avia (66,68% of the shares), the closed joint stock company AzAL (12.16%) and the two daughters of the president of this organization Jahangir Askerov, each of whom owns 10.58% of the shares. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
