List of Enterprises to Be Privatized in Medium Term Determined
The Cabinet of Ministers and the State Committee for Property Affairs decided on the list (https://goo.gl/Y6yQ9Y) of enterprises to be privatized in the medium term. The list has 2,859 enterprises and objects.
The government plans to pass into private hands recreation clubs, cinemas, many departmental hospitals and clinics, recreation centers, hotels, sports facilities, farms, and industrial enterprises.
Subject to privatization are Azeraluminium, factories of Azneftkimyamas, Ganja Automobile Plant, Baku Car Repair Plant, hatcheries, the building of the Baku Maritime Station, the Baku Horserace Stadium, the Sumgait Central Stadium, etc.
Only 51 enterprises will be privatized through corporatization. The remaining businesses will be sold as a small enterprise. 63 companies will be offered for investment contest. The underground car parks at the Winter Boulevard and Azadlig Square will be transferred to control. -----08B

The 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change has taken a significant step towards a unified global response to climate change. On the first day of discussions in Baku, participating countries reached a historic agreement on the rules governing the creation and trade of carbon credits.
