In 2012, in Azerbaijan (excluding the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic) there were privatized about 600 small enterprises and facilities, including vehicles. This is more than 30% less than in 2011 (897).
At a meeting in the State Committee on Property of the board meeting on the results of last year, it was noted that in 1012 accelerated the privatization of land under privatized enterprises and facilities. There were sold about 620 plots. In the previous year the figure was 540.
In a press release the Committee reported that 53 of the ongoing financial and specialized cash auctions were sold stakes in 32 JSC. Plants privatized by an investment tender are not reported. It is mentioned that in this way the privatized enterprises have been invested about 160 million manat.
At the beginning of this year at the disposal of the Committee were 95 state-owned enterprises, and state-owned shares were in 313 JSC. According to the data, public property is approximately 6,000 companies and organizations. The Committee at the beginning of 2013 controls 27,119 plots of land belonging to the public domain. All under these facilities are 113 527.65 ha. Information on these plots, and real estate on them, entered into the database of electronic inventory of real property. By January 1, 2013 there were prepared extracts of the land register about 16,930 land plots or 83 925.32 hectares. -08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
