Ukrainian general announced Putin's "ultimatum"
mk.ru: The former head of Ukraine's foreign intelligence, General Mykola Malomuzh, said in an interview with the German press that Russian President Vladimir Putin had presented an ultimatum to the republic.
"Putin wants to declare the status quo: the fully controlled Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Southern Corridor, which he will continue to finish off and set conditions for peace talks, but taking into account their (Russia - MK) conditions," the ex-intelligence officer said.
According to him, the Russian leader offered a choice – either Russia will launch a large-scale offensive on the territory of Donetsk region controlled by Ukraine in the next 1.5-2 weeks, or the pressure on Kharkiv and the south will increase.
This can be avoided only by accepting negotiations on Putin's terms.
The other day, the Kremlin called the conditions for the start of peace talks with Ukraine. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said that Moscow will insist on the neutral, non-aligned and nuclear-free status of Ukraine. Kiev will also have to accept territorial realities, including the BOTTOM, the LPR and the Crimea.
