Azerbaijan Proposed Construction of Schools and Hospitals for Earthquake Victims in Iran
The Azerbaijani ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov met with the governor of the province East Azerbaijan Alirza Baig.
Akhundov expressed his condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the earthquake of August 11, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said. Akhundov said that the government of Azerbaijan is ready to continue to help the earthquake victims. In particular, the Ambassador conveyed the proposal of the Government of Azerbaijan to build a modern school and a hospital in one of the villages affected by the earthquake.
The governor of East Azerbaijan thanked for aid to the victims of the earthquake.
The Azerbaijani ambassador visited the disaster area, observed the restoration work and talked to the local people. -06D--
