In Gazakh "Musavat" members are persecuted because of referendum
In Gazakh region the police is pursuing the activists of the party "Musavat" to prevent the collection of signatures against the registration of the agitation group "Republic" for the campaign against the referendum on constitutional changes, according to the head of "Musavat" local organization Ilgar Mustafayev.
In particular, the members of Musavat party that are collecting signatures are attacked by unidentified civilian who take away the petitions.
In his opinion it is taking place by the local authorities who make pressure on those who put their signature in support of the opposition. "They are called enemies of the President, and are exposed as traitors and enemies of the people," said the opposition leader.
In addition, over the past week some signature collectors simply disappeared and there is no information about them. All this is done to break our plans to register the agitation group "Republic", Mustafayev said.
A referendum on constitutional changes was appointed for the 26th of September, before this will work agitation group for and against change. To register a group it is required to collect 40.000thousand signatures. At present the signatures gathered only the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan".
At present, the authorities are hunting for members opposing the reactionary amendments to the Constitution. In particular, the REAL activists, members of the Popular Front Party and "Musavat" are being arrested. -05В-
