Still Minister of Culture Advised to Make Hara-kiri
Baku / 11.05.20 / Turan: After the special operation of the State Security Service in the Ministry of Culture on May 8 and the arrest of two senior officials of this department, a wave of criticism and condemnation did not fall on them, but on Minister Abulfaz Garayev.
There are calls and demands in society for calling him to account and immediately dismissing him. So, MP Fazil Mustafa writes on his Facebook page that the Azerbaijani culture must be freed "from the spirit" of Garayev. “Until this happens, it is not necessary to expect the revival and development of our cinema, theater, music and other forms of art,” he said.
Natig Jafarli, executive secretary of the ReAl party, believes that the Minister should resign himself. “He bears at least moral responsibility for the situation. Instead, he states that he welcomes the State Security Service operation. What does this mean? You are either responsible for your subordinates or admit that you are not aware of their tricks. In both cases, you are responsible. In Japan, in such cases, decent people made themselves hara-kiri,” Jafarli writes. -03B-
