The cost of building facing is overstated by 10 times, ex-MP
Ex-deputy of the parliament of Azerbaijan, the expert Nazim Mammadov, believes that the lining of multistory buildings in Baku costs 3-5 million manats. In an interview with the radio "Voice of America", he said, that the real value of these works is $10-15 per sq m. However, in the documentation, these amounts are overestimated by 10 times. With such costs, it is better to coat buildings with limestone slabs - Aglaia, which costs 40 manat per square meter, he said.
Mammadov also said that facing was made only on the side of the building that faces the street, and the part of the building which faces the yard remain unchanged. All this confirms the view that the prosperity of corruption in this area.
Another problem , according toMammadov, is monopoly and unfair competition. He said that in 2012 the head of Baku Steel Company, Rasim Mammadov, used his "combat troops", and captured more than 20 enterprises in the metallurgical sector.
"Despite we produce qualitative and certified products, they were forcibly dislodged from the market. We are deprived of the opportunity to bring these people to justice," said Mamedov.
He also noted the need for a declaration of income and property of officials. Mamedov hopes that after the last speech of the President of the country, officials will declare their incomes.
Regarding the illegal villas in the beach area in Shikhov, ex-deputy recalled the worlds by the Mayor on the impending demolition of 42 houses, each valued at 5 - 10 million. Demolition of such buildings means the elimintion of 210 - 420 million manats.
"All this is money of officials, not ordinary citizens. The talk is about the officials behind the monopolists which misuse confidence of the president for personal gain, and embezzlement of state property," said Mamedov. -16/03D-
