2.5 million foreigners have visited Azerbaijan since the beginning of the year
Baku/22.11.18/Turan: In January-October 2018, 2420.4 thousand foreigners and stateless persons arrived in Azerbaijan from 194 countries. This data is provided by the State Statistics Committee on the basis of information from the State Border Service.
The number of foreigners arrived is by 6.1% more than in the same period last year. The largest number of foreigners came from the Russian Federation (31.1%). This is followed by Georgia (20.2%) and Turkey (10.1%). The remaining 39% came from 191 countries.
The largest increase in the number of visitors showed the Gulf countries. Thus, the number of tourists from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia increased 2.2 times, 1.6 times from Qatar. From 6.3 to 33%, the number of tourists from other Gulf countries increased.
The number of visitors from EU member states increased by 8.3%, reaching 99.4 thousand people; 891 thousand people came from the CIS countries, which is 4.1% more than it was during the corresponding period last year.
As for the citizens of Azerbaijan, 32.2% traveled to Iran, 29.6% to Georgia and 19.1% to Russia. -05D06-

In 2017, the Sumgayit City Court ruled to evict the Aliyev family—refugees from Gubadli (Akper, Sarvinaz, Ramil, and two other family members)—from an illegally occupied apartment in the 12th microdistrict, Building 7A, Apartment 35.
