Editor of "Azadlig" newspaper received a warning prosecutors
The first deputy chief editor of "Azadlig" newspaper Rahim Hajiyev was summoned to the prosecutor's office on 6 May. The reason was the publication of calls by Samir Aliyev, a former husband of a doctor Natavan Aliyeva. Samir Aliyev was arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife. In his appeal he presented a transcript of his conversation with investigator.
The prosecutor's office, in turn, issued a statement, which casts doubt on the authenticity of the transcripts of Samir Aliyev with the investigator, but at the same time considers the publication as a violation of the rights and interests of the relatives of the deceased Natavan Aliyeva.
The editor has been warned about the inadmissibility of such publications. In the case of recurrence of such information, more serious measures will be taken, including criminal prosecution, reads the statement of the Attorney General. -02D-
