Hundreds of victims in a strong earthquake in Iran
Baku / 23.07.18 / Turan: Several strong earthquakes occurred on Sunday in Iran from 4.7 to 5.9, the agency IRNA reported. On the morning of July 23, the seismological center of the province of Kermanshah recorded 165 aftershocks after yesterday's earthquake at 14:37.
The first earthquake occurred in the province of Hormozgan in the south of Iran, and the most powerful was the third province of Kermanshah with a magnitude of 5.9 points. As a result, 287 residents of the city of Taze Abad were injured. There are no data on the victims so far.
According to preliminary data, more than 100 buildings were destroyed, 850 - damaged. Rescue work is in progress.
A devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 points occurred on November 13, 2017 in the west of Iran with an epicenter in the city of Azgle (Kermanshah province). Then, at least 650 people died, about 12 thousand were injured. -02D-
