Parents of dead soldiers are indignant with injustice
Parents of soldiers who died in the army held a press conference on Monday in the Media Center.
Parents of Ismail Ibayev, Elkhan Azizov, Parviz Iskenderli and Sadiq Mamedov, expressed dissatisfaction with the investigation of their children’s death. They stated that the deaths of their children were not accidental, and that high-ranking military officials are behind them, influencing the investigation and the courts.
According to the parents, the real culprits are not brought to justice, only the "scapegoats". Thus, during the trial, the defendants reveal the truth, but courts do not take them into account.
The parents of Ismail Ibayev and Parviz Iskenderli continue to claim that their sons’ internal organs were removed.
Parents of Elkhan Azizov and Sadiq Mamedov said that the truth about the events in Dashkesen where their sons were killed is still unknown.
Six soldiers were killed in Dashkesen, but the defendants were convicted of economic crimes. Some parents, unable to bear this injustice, have since died.
On May 3, 16 parents of the soldiers killed in the army sent an appeal to the President of the country, demanding a fair investigation.
Parents believe that the guilt lies mainly with the Defense Minster and the Military Prosecutor Office. The parents believe that the Defense Ministry does not take effective measures to prevent deaths in the army. As for the Military Prosecutor Office, it conducts wrong investigations.
Over the past five months, 43 soldiers have died, 35 of them in non-combat conditions. The way out of the situation is for the parents to see reforms in the army. According to them, the Military Prosecutor's Office should be abolished, and under the Prosecutor General should be created a structure, which will conduct these kinds of affairs. -05C04-
