Baku / 19.10.17 / Turan: The Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) announced the detention of its young activist Rajab Huseynov. At the same time, the place of detention of Huseynov is unknown, the party's press service reported. Huseynov is a member of the youth committee of the Saatli regional branch of the PFPA. On October 18, he was detained in the neighboring Bilasuvar region. From there he was taken to Baku.
The PFPA believes that the activist was detained because of participation in a rally in Baku on October 7 organized by the National Council of Democratic Forces of Azerbaijan. The Bilasuvar police refused to comment on the detention of the activist.-05B-

The Interior Ministry reports that employees of the Department for Combating Illegal Migration identified and detained 34 foreigners without documents giving the right to reside and stay on the territory of Azerbaijan.
