The level of employment in the country, the discrepancy between the official statistics of reality, the lack of independence of the judiciary are the leading topics of today's press.
The newspaper "Azerbaijan" writes that the opening of jobs is a reliable form of social protection of the population. For this reason, entrepreneurship in the country is supported, and this is a discovery in the private sector of enterprises. So for January-May of the current year the share of non-public sector in industry was 79.9%. The head of state at a meeting of the Cabinet spoke about the implementation of the employment program. The primary stage of the project will cover 5-10 thousand people.
The newspaper "Echo" published an article titled "The money hunger in Azerbaijan, there is not enough money supply". In 2018, there is no real increase in the foreign reserves of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan. First, 1 billion dollars of the State Oil Fund was concentrated in the International Bank of Azerbaijan. As you know, Interbank is insolvent, and in theory this debt should be returned by the state. There is a "monetary hunger" in the country, because there is not enough manat mass. It is for this reason that the State Oil Fund for the six months of this year put up $ 1.714 billion for foreign exchange trading, which is much lower than last year's figure, when 2.436 billion dollars were sold at CBA auctions. Banks have nothing to buy foreign currency.
The Yeni Musavat newspaper claims that State Statistical Committee"s data do not reflect reality. Expert Natig Jafarli notes that according to the State Statistics Committee(SSC) , in the first half of 2017 the country produced 31 billion 310.6 million manats of GDP. In comparison with the first half of last year, there was a sharp increase (27 billion manats). Experts believe that GDP is not growth, but, on the contrary, decline.
The newspaper "New time" published an article entitled "There is no limit to perfection". We will not open America, if we say that even in countries with independent judiciary they are trying, in one way or another, to modernize the courts. Reforms in the judicial system of Azerbaijan also are ongoing. But, unfortunately, in one direction. Unfortunately, with all the advantages of modernizing the domestic judicial system, it has not yet been possible to achieve the independence of the courts. This is the reason for the fact that more and more Azerbaijani citizens are seeking justice in the European Court of Human Rights. Recently, one of the judicial officials proudly stated that the European Court examined only about 20 lawsuits from Azerbaijan. It does not mean that our judicial system has improved.
