Seminar to counter religious extremism
Training seminar devoted to countering religious extremism took place in the region of Lankaran. The event was organized by the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, and is conducted in one of the "sensitive" areas of the country.
The participants of the event, which included religious and community leaders, stressed the need of propaganda among young people, and protect the younger generation from the harmful effects. In this sense, a specific role is given to religious leaders.
In particular, it is important to strengthen measures to prevent the recurrence of Middle Eastern events in Azerbaijan, reads the press release the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations. -05D-
