Trial in the case of the head of AMAY is appointedfor February 19
The preparatory hearing in the case of Abdulla Abdullayev, the head of the AMAY, was held on Thursday at the Baku Serious Crimes Court.
The judge Afgan Hajiyev refused to grant defense motions to replace a preventive measure, to provide a list of evidence on all episodes, and other applications.
The defendant accused the investigation of bias. Hearing was scheduled for February 19.

On October 10, a verdict was read in the Serious Crimes Court for Ahmed Ahmedov, who killed five members of his family. Judge Sabina Mamedzade ruled that Ahmedov should be sent for compulsory treatment. Ahmedov was charged with intentional murder with particular cruelty, the murder of two or more persons, and the murder of a person in a helpless state. For these crimes, the guilty face life imprisonment or long-term incarceration.
