Wave of Social Protests in Siyazan
About 500 employees of JSC Siyazan Broiler held a protest in front of the Executive Power of the Siyazan district this morning. They complained about low salaries, which were also delayed.
Police were brought to the place of the action. After representatives of the district authorities heard the protesters, the police put the workers on a bus and drove them to their workplace. The district administration confirmed this information. "The complaints of the workers were heard, and work is underway to study their requirements," a responsible officer of the executive power told Turan.
According to him, a typical salary at the factory is only 140-150 manats a month. In turn, the Chief Accountant of JSC Siyazan Broiler Azad Tagiyev told Turan that all workers returned to the factory. He denied the delay of the salary. According to the accountant, the minimum wage is 200 manats and some people get even 500 manat. -03B06-

The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
