"Come on, goodbye!" becomes a trademark, or who makes money on meyhana?
The Russian rapper and businessman Timur Yunusov, also known as Timothy, has applied for trademark registration "#Davaydosvidanya", according to “Izvestiya” newspaper on August 10.
Under the brand "#Davaydosvidanya" the Timathy team plans to release the youth clothing in the price segment two or three thousand rubles per a thing. Shoes, hats, bags, jewelry, and other things will be sold under this label.
At the same time "#Davaydosvidanya" was registered in the categories of such services as advertising, management, services to education, training, entertainment, sports, cultural and educational activities. The amount of funds invested in new business, is not disclosed.
The phrase "Come on, goodbye!" has became popular thank to video reel placed on the web in January 2012 based on Azerbaijani wedding. The video is a Meyhana - verbal improvisation to the music. Heroes of the movie played on the phrase "Who are you? Come on,goodbye."
Timothy used the chorus of "Come on, goodbye!" and the entourage of this commercial video in a parody video dedicated to Philip Kirkorov. This video was uploaded on YouTube in June 2012.
It is noteworthy that the author of this video, Hilal Mamedov was arrested in Azerbaijan and is in jail on charges of treason.
