This was discussed at today's meeting, the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Salim Muslimov with the head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Malena Mardi - the press office of MLSP AP.
The Ministry has all the opportunities to automate the assignment of targeted social assistance by the end of this year. The meeting expressed the determination of institutional reforms , as well as improving the legislation . " This will ensure transparency, improve the quality of services provided to the population ," said the Minister.
He informed M. Mardi of reforms undertaken in pay, employment and demographics, social assistance, disability and destination guides. The guest noted interest in strengthening EU cooperation with the Ministry of Labor .
Azerbaijan since January 2006 has been using the system of targeted social assistance (its size depends on the difference between "criterion of need" - 100 manats as of 1 January 2014 - and the amount of income for each family member) .
Families whose income per person is below this criterion are recipients of social assistance . As of January 1, 2014 it was received by 140,711 families or 615,516 people.
The average monthly social assistance for each member of a needy family of 4 is 29.01 manat. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
