The number of taxpayers has exceeded 570,000
In January-May this year 37 200 taxpayers were registered in Azerbaijan, which is 6.5% more than that in the same period of 2013.
According to the Ministry of Taxes, on 1 June, the number of registered taxpayers exceeded 570,100. In comparison with the beginning of June last year, the number increased by 58,000 or 11.3%.
The total number of taxpayers includes both commercial entities and non-profit organizations such as municipalities, NGOs, religious organizations and enterprises of education.
The Taxes Ministry does not provide information about the structure of unregistered persons according to their shape (legal entities and individuals), as well as organizational and legal form. However, according to the information from the State Statistics Committee on statistical subjects, most taxpayers are individuals.
Since January 2008, registration of subjects of taxation in Azerbaijan has been carried out on the principle of "single window". From 2011-2012, the process is conducted electronically. -08D-

BP, the operator of the Shah Deniz gas condensate field, announced on Sunday that production from the Shah Deniz Alpha platform resumed on the evening of January 18. While overall figures edged lower, the sectoral breakdown reveals notable disparities between the oil and gas sphere and non-oil industries.

Azerbaijan’s industrial enterprises and individual entrepreneurs reported a modest 1.1% year-on-year increase in industrial production during 2024, reaching an output valued at 64.1 billion manat. The State Statistics Committee attributed the overall growth to a 0.5% expansion in the oil and gas sector, while non-oil and gas industries surged by 7.3%.
