On Saturday, September 14 at the Sports Town Luzhniki, the VIII Games of VTB Group were held.
The competition was attended by about 1,100 athletes from 30 teams . They represented 15 companies within the Group of 14 countries in the world: Russia , Armenia, Austria, Belarus , China, Georgia, Germany, India, China, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Ukraine and France. For the first time a team from Azerbaijan took part as guests.
Competitions were held in the following disciplines : a mini- football, volleyball, streetball, the family starts, track and field, weightlifting , darts , chess, mini- golf, bowling , paintball , go-karting , Cheerleading .
The President - Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Andrey Kostin , in his welcome speech highlighted the international status of the Olympics and the growing number of types of programs: " Sports day is a great mood, the joy of victory , the demonstration of good physical skills. But above all, it is a unique atmosphere that allows employees of companies within the Group to feel like a single entity , not only in the workplace."
First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of VTB Vasily Titov said: "The Olympics is not only athletic performance, not just a competition to see who is faster, better or stronger. People see that our bank is working virtually around the world, and when we get together , there is quite an amazing sense of community and a great sporting event . "
In awarding the athletes and teams - won the Olympics - was attended by professional athletes from the sponsorships orbit VTB - Russia captain gymnastics Ksenia Afanasyeva , winner of the rally "Silk Road - 2013 ", the pilot of the KAMAZ -Master Dmitry Savostin , the players of the Moscow " Dynamo " Yuri Zhirkov and Roman Berezovsky , the hockey players of the Moscow " Dynamo" Kasyanchuk Constantine and Roman Derlyuk . -15D -
