Action on the Lachin road, day 22
Baku/02.01.23/Turan: The 22nd day of the action of civil activists on the Lachin-Khankyandi road at the checkpoint near the city of Shusha goes on.
Dozens of activists continue to demand access to the Gyzylbulag and Damirli gold mines, which have been illegally exploited by Armenian separatists for 20 years.
Over the past two days, vehicles of Russian peacekeepers have been passing freely in both directions. No incidents have been recorded.
The Armenian side still refuses to use the road, citing the fact that the Azerbaijanis should not check their vehicles.
Official Baku ignored the proposal of the Armenian separatists to monitor these mines with the participation of international experts and environmentalists.
Attempts by the Armenian side to put pressure on Baku at the international level, including the UN Security Council, also failed. -02B-
