Azerbaijan delays peace conclusion - Armenian Parliament Speaker
Baku/07.12.23/Turan: Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan accused Azerbaijan of seeking to complicate the conclusion of a peace treaty with Armenia. He said this to reporters commenting on yesterday's statement by President Ilham Aliyev that if the issue of Karabakh Armenians is included in the peace treaty, the issue of Azerbaijanis' right to return to Armenia should also be included there.
"I think Azerbaijan is trying to include issues that can make it difficult to conclude a peace treaty. I assess this very negatively," Simonyan emphasized.
According to him, Baku should change its anti-Armenian rhetoric. "I do not rule out that Armenians will go to live in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis will come to live in Armenia and trade with each other. We are going to peace, there is no other way. England and France fought for 116 years, and today England and France are allies," Simonyan said. -0-
