Mammadyarov to Sign Partnership Document between Azerbaijan and SCO
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov is paying a working visit to China on March 13 to 14. According to the MFA press service, during the visit on March 14 Mammadyarov will meet with the leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and sign a memorandum on granting Azerbaijan a Partner on Dialogue status with the SCO.
Mammadyarov will also meet with a number of Chinese officials.
The SCO includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan have an observer status. -06D--

The General Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation into the illegal mining and unlawful land seizure in the Garadagh, Binagadi, and Khazar districts of Baku, as well as in the Terter region. President Ilham Aliyev approved the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in transit cargo transportation along the "North-South" international transport corridor (ITC) on February 11, 2025. The agreement was signed on December 21, 2024, by the heads of the transport ministries of both countries.
