Pro-government media reported on the advancement of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces
Baku/03.04.23/Turan: The Azerbaijani Armed Forces have advanced from previously occupied positions and occupied two villages in the Shusha region – Allahkulular and Zamanpeyasi, the pro-government and official media of the country without specifying the source of this information, reported on April 3.
There is no such information on the website of the Ministry of Defense. Attempts to confirm these reports in the press service of the Ministry of Defense did not give results.
It should be noted that these two small villages with Azerbaijani population were captured and burned by Armenian troops during the First Karabakh War in 1992. Until recently, this territory was under Armenian control.
A dirt road passes through these villages, which was used by the Armenian side to bypass the post in Shusha and maintain contact with Armenia.
On March 25, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces moved from the side of Mount Sarybaba and occupied a height of 2054 m. (2.9 km north-east) and equipped a post. At this point, three dirt roads converge at once, which could have bypassed Shusha and reached the Lachyn road.
Thus, it was possible to block the possibility of the Armenian side to have a connection with Armenia, bypassing Azerbaijani control.
Now, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have advanced by the same amount, occupying another dirt road from the village of Zamanpeyasi to the Lachin highway. Thus, another exit route from Khankyandi to the Lachin road has been blocked, bypassing the posts of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. ---02B---
