Appeal of the activist of the "Musavat" party
Baku / 03.01.19 / Turan: Today the Baku Court of Appeal (BCA) considered the complaint of the head of the youth organization of the Musavat Party AbulfazSadigbeyli against the refusal to transfer him under house arrest.
BCA rejected the complaint and upheld the decision of the Sabail District Court, Turan was told by the accused"s brother VasifSadigbeyli.
According to him, the family learned about the court trial half an hour before it began.
A. Sadigbeyli was arrested on November 21. An activist is charged under the Article 178.2.1 (fraud committed by a group of persons in a preliminary conspiracy) and 320.2 (use of knowingly forged documents, stamps, letterheads) of the Criminal Code.
In particular, Sadigbeyli is charged with forging a certificate from the Nikoil bank about repayment of the loan. However, according to the defense, he repaid the loan and has documentary evidence of this.
Musavat Party believes that Sadigbeyli is being persecuted for political reasons. -06D--
