Elderly Resident of Nakhchivan Asks First Lady for Help
Nakhchivan / 08.08.17 / Turan: A resident of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Samaya Nadjafova distributed a video appeal to the leadership of Azerbaijan with a request to assist in the treatment of her 10-year-old grandson Elvin Vugar Oglu Shabanov, suffering from blood cancer.
Najafova said her daughter Gunel Shabanova's family had no means of livelihood. The family lives in the town of Sharur at 14 Mushvig Street, apt 12.
The sick child is currently being treated at the Ankara Oncology Hospital. "He got sick a few months ago. At first, one Turkish entrepreneur rendered financial assistance in the treatment of Elvin Shabanov. However, now there is no money for blood transfusions, and the hospital refuses to continue to treat the child," the applicant said, noting there are no conditions for treatment of the child in Nakhchivan.
Najafova tried to apply personally to the head of NAR Vasif Talybov, but she was not allowed to. The desperate woman via the Internet appeals for help to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva.
