Four People Hospitalized as Result of Earthquake in Shamakhi Region
Baku / 06.02.19 / Turan: The earthquake that occurred on February 5 did not cause serious consequences, a source in the Shamakhi region told Turan.
In some places, the walls collapsed in dilapidated buildings.
20-25 residential and household objects are partially damaged. There are no casualties.
The administration of the Ismayilli region said there is information about the occurrence of cracks in the earlier collapsed fences and walls in old buildings. However, there are no human victims.
In the Ismayilli region, life support communications were not affected.
According to the data of the Republican seismological service of the Academy of Sciences, aftershocks of yesterday's earthquake continue in this zone. However, tremors are weak and not felt.
The Ministry of Health reported about three hospitalized as a result of an earthquake in the Shamakhi region. They got injured limbs. Their condition is normal.
At the same time, the district"s Ambulance had 30 complaints of high blood pressure due to stress. The condition of one patient is severe. He had a cerebral hemorrhage and was placed in the intensive care unit.
The earthquake occurred on February 5 at 11.31 pm local time on the territory of the Ismayilli region at 11 km from the Pirgulu station.
The strength of aftershocks amounted to 6 points in the epicenter, in the surrounding areas 5.3 points.
