Most recently, the Minister of the Interior and the chairman of the Christian-Social Union (CSU), Horst Seehofer, will put forward an ultimatum on the expulsion of migrants, which fundamentally contradicts the principles of the Chancellor. The CSU party is part of the government coalition and its leaving the bloc threatens another political scandal. Currently Merkel is having consultations with members of its Christian Democratic Union.
This conflict is taking place on the background of a large-scale special operation against ethnic criminal groups engaged in illegal migration of citizens from the CIS. According to the German website Presseportal.de, police and customs officials recently searched eleven flats and offices in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. These measures were taken as part of an investigation into the activities of an organized criminal group, consisting of citizens of Azerbaijan and Romania, engaged in organizing illegal migration to Germany.
The newspaper notes that during the searches the police seized various documents, money, false identity cards, computers, mobile phones and weapons as evidence. The prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit against five people. The investigation calls them the main culprits in organizing illegal traffic of migrants and their further legalization in Germany.
The domestic media published a lot of facts on the deportation of Azerbaijanis who illegally entered Germany and appealed to the authorities for obtaining a residence permit, the existence of a network of illegal migration business. Moreover, such groups work both in Baku and in various regions of Germany. Judging by the fact that not only our citizens, but also the villagers decide to leave and settle in a comfortable Europe, this channel works well and brings a good income.
From out interviews "T" with recently deported compatriots from France, Belgium and Germany, people are convinced of the success of the case, it is easy to obtain refugee status, etc. So, people easily sell their property in the homeland, with hope and great plans move to Europe. There are quite other realities, priorities and rules for the provision of permanent residence. Most of the after repeatedly receiving a refusal, return to the country and start everything from scratch.
Others cannot accept the failure of the plan. In early June, an Azerbaijani named Fikret committed suicide in the Netherlands, who was to be deported back to Azerbaijan, wrote in the social network Orhan Mamed. "This is not the first such case. During the first three months of the year, 1564 people left Azerbaijan for Germany, 121 of them received a residence permit. Over the past two years, migration legislation has been significantly tightened," the user wrote in his status.
Indeed, the German authorities are taking new steps to combat illegal migration. According to the decision of the Bundestag, in the near future, migrants will be placed in special centers until the completion of the entire procedure for granting asylum, the exit for which will be restricted for them. It is planned that there will be about 40 such centers in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany called Ankerzentrum (from the German Anker, an anchor). The branches of all interested services - BAMF, the Employment Agency, the Social Protection of Youth, bodies Justice, etc. will function at the territory of Centers. The pilot project, to which only Saxony and Bavaria have so far agreed, should start no later than in the autumn of this year (rg-rb.de).
According to current rules, all asylum seekers live in foster homes and hostels. There are no restrictions for their freedom of movement, not only within the settlement where the camp/hostel is located, but also, as practice shows, throughout the EU. Therefore, persons who are denied refugee status are widely using this gap in the legislation. Having received notification of the forthcoming deportation, not waiting until they are escorted into the plane for delivery to their country they run away in their only known direction. Europe is big, it is impossible to find them there.
Thus, from now on, Azerbaijani and other illegal migrants from the CIS will no longer be able to hide in Europe for years, hoping to obtain a residence permit, if not in Sweden, then at least in the Czech Republic. Therefore, any potential asylum seeker must weigh all the chances of settlement abroad, in order not to be left with nothing ...
