Orhan Zeynalov confesses to killing Shcherbakov
A native of Azerbaijan, Orhan Zeynalov, accused of the murder of Yegor Shcherbakov, a resident of the Moscow region, Biryulevo, pleaded guilty partially, said his lawyer Victor Anikushkin.
"My client does not consider it a murder, it was self-defense," said the lawyer. Previously, the lawyers of Zeynalov appealed the decision to arrest him.
Riots in Biryulyovo began after the night of 10th October when an unknown individual stabbed Yegor Shcherbakov. During the riots on 13th October, which began after a popular gathering, the crowd attacked a shopping center and stormed the vegetable base. Then 380 people were detained, and more than 20 people were injured.
Two days later, Orhan Zeynalov was arrested, he initially pleaded not guilty, and denied the murder of Shcherbakov. Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry sent two notes to the Russian Foreign Ministry, complaining of ill-treatment with Zeynalov. -02D-
