The court leaves Khadija Ismailova in custody
The Baku Court of Appeals under the chairmanship of Abid Abdinbekov considered the complaint of the arrested journalist Khadija Ismailova. The complaint was filed on the decision of the Sabail court about her arrest for two months. The Court of Appeal upheld the trial court's decision, the correspondent of Turan. Khadija Ismailova was brought to the trial, and said in court that her arrest is illegal, but expected.
* Khadija Ismayilova is charged under the Article 125 of the Criminal Code (incitement to suicide.) She was arrested on the basis of statements of Tural Mustafayev, whom she allegedly driven to suicide. On September 16, the Central Election Commission (CEC) submitted the protocols of the extraordinary parliamentary elections to the Constitutional Court. Although there were many complaints regarding the election process, the CEC did not affect the results in any constituency but annulled the results in more than 40 polling stations overall.
