The trial in the case of the elder of the village of Nardaran again postponed
Baku/19.04.17/Turan: The final speech of the prosecutor at the trial in the Baku Court for Serious Crimes in the case of Natiq Kerimov, the elder of the village of Nardaran and former deputy chairman of the Islamic Party Inglab Ahadov, accused of state treason, was again postponed. The reason for this is not the appearance of the lawyers of the accused. The hearing was adjourned for April 27. Earlier, on April 14, the trial was also postponed due to the absence of the prosecutor and lawyer Kerimov. The trial was closed, and it is unknown what is specifically incriminated by the accused. Earlier, there were also cases of arrest of Nardaran residents on charges of spying for Iran.
Kerimov was arrested in January last year. On January 19, he was released under house arrest. The arrest was preceded by a special operation in Nardaran in November 2015, which resulted in the killing of six people, including two policemen. In connection with these events, about 90 people were arrested. Some of them were sentenced to various terms on charges of illegal possession of weapons.
The group of accused, including Tale Bagirzade, the leader of the movement "Muslim Unity", was sentenced for long periods on charges of attempting power seize and change the state system. The trials of other arrested persons continue. -16D06D

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
