Baku / 31.01.21 / Turan: The country's Tariff Council has increased the price of drinking water for the population by 100% since February 1. So, for residents of Baku, Sumgayit, Khirdalan and Absheron region, the price will be not 35, but 70 gapik per cubic meter.
In the message of the Tariff Council dated January 31, it is said that for the population of the rest territories the price of a cubic meter of water will be 60 gapik.
For other subscribers, the tariff remained at the level of 1 manat per cubic meter.
At the same time, the price for sewerage services for the population has been doubled - 30 gapiks instead of 15 gapiks. -02D-

Meetings of the Amnesty Issues Commission under the President of Azerbaijan are set to resume, with expectations that a new presidential amnesty decree will be issued. The last such decree was signed on May 25 of the previous year, ahead of Independence Day (May 28). That decree covered 154 individuals, of whom 63 were released from imprisonment, while the sentences of 52 others were reduced by half. The remaining individuals were mostly freed from electronic monitoring or had their sentences commuted in other ways.
